Great Mail Week

Happy mail this week with the delivery of new scrapbook supplies! I discovered a new online store and ordered a few things. I also received my monthly kit and I found treasures at Tuesday Morning!

New Online Store

I stumbled upon a new online store recently and purchased a few things. The store is Picket Fence Studios located in Louisiana. They have a wonderful selection of stamps and card making supplies. I love their stamp designs, Especially the cats! I have a wish list saved on their website with a few stamp sets and lots of tins of sequins. Oh boy do they have some beautiful color mixes of sequins to choose from.

What intrigued me the most was the Stamp Scrubber. It’s really cute, it reminds me of a patch of grass. I purchased one to see how well it would clean my stamps. I use Huggies diaper wipes now, they seem to have the least amount of lint residue.

Once you wet the stamp scrubber, it expands a bit. I left it on my desk so it would be handy when I was ready to clean my stamps. It did an amazing job! The Memento Tuxedo Black ink came right off the stamp with very little effort. I think this will be on my desk now whenever I am stamping!

Studio Calico July Kit

I love when my monthly Studio Calico kit arrives! I try to never peek at the preview on their website. I like to be surprised when I open my envelope.

The kits always have 4×6 and 3×4 cards. I like that the cards are double sided, more options that way. The theme this month feels tropical. There are palm trees, leaves and pineapples along with bright colors and a few black and white prints.

Okay, I think this is one of the best rolls of washi tape I have ever received from Studio Calico. I like the large width rolls they usually send in our kits, it’s easy to cut it down the middle to alter it for a smaller project. This months print is lush green leaves, it’s so pretty!

Labels, Alphabet stickers and Chipboard

We almost always get some sort of label stickers in our kit along with an alphabet. These are a cute smaller size letter and you get both uppercase and lowercase on one sheet. The chipboard stickers coordinate perfectly with the cards, vibrant colors and black & white motifs.

Stamp Set

I have a confession to make – my favorite part of the kits are the small stamp sets. I just love them! They are the perfect size to stamp on the labels, but I also use them on the 3×4 cards. Sometimes, I get brave and daring and stamp on my photo…it’s a bit scary to me but I see other scrapbookers take the risk and it always looks great.

Tuesday Morning Shopping

I went to my local Tuesday Morning this past week. I came home with a few new scrapbook supplies that I didn’t have from Shimelle’s Field Trip collection. They had the Thicker set with the phrases, I had tried many times to order them with no luck. They also had the Sparkle City 12×12 paper pad.

In the clearance section, I found a few page kits from Echo Park that I did not have and a set of stickers from Amy Tangerine. My Tuesday Morning isn’t one of the locations closing but the poor craft aisle looks a bit sad. They haven’t been getting trucks every week and the few new things I found from Shimelle had April date codes on them

I am hopeful my store continues to stay open, I love the staff there. They always ask me what I am going to make with my new scrapbook supplies. A few years ago, I made a card for one of the sweet ladies that retired. She showed everyone the card and told people that almost everything on the card came from their store.

Coming Soon to my Mailbox

I got an email the other day from Echo Park about there monthly kit club. You get a kit every other month and it’s full of paper and embellishments. Be sure to check back, I will be sharing pictures of everything in the kit when it gets here.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!
