I started scrapbooking when I was five years old. My dad was a pro golfer and traveled quite a bit. My mom would give me newspaper clippings and photos from his time on the circuit. I had a large 12×12 scrapbook with pages tied into the binding, it wasn’t very pretty – brown with Snapshots embossed on the cover. I still have the clippings and photos but the album is long gone.
In 1997 when I was waiting for my son to be born, I saw a scrapbook kit at Target. It came with an 8 1/2 x 11 3 ring binder, some paper, scissors, glue stick and a Making Memories magazine. Things sure had changed since that brown scrapbook. What I saw in the magazine opened my eyes to the hobby in a new light. I was HOOKED!
Now here we are in 2020 and the industry continues to change, as do I. There are so many wonderful products to choose from and ideas to be found all over the internet and magazines( yes…they do still exist). I want to share my love and excitement of making scrapbook layouts to preserve photos, memories and memorabilia.
Thank you for coming by, I hope you find something fun and inspiring here and I hope you will come visit again!
